list of societal norms that will always haunt me, and piss me off:-chivalry - yet another thing my fellow man does to make my fellow woman feel special momentarily, it's all because he wants to get laid...confidence - why should i be confident? i do not want to be the person who 'charms' and 'awes' people...I'd rather be the guy who you can easily ignore....ok so i may be a little 'funny' sometimes, but that has NOTHING to do with confidence...i crack jokes for myself, not for everyone else...they turn out to be good sometimes...it's only because im not too bad at expressing myself in the English language whenever i feel comfortable enough to, and some humor/sarcasm/childishness shines through and you people find it amusing. i would never ask a person to be 'confident', it's something these coaching classes and self help books will always ask you to be...but guess what? you CAN survive with low self esteem and low levels of confidence in this world...and you don't even have to worry about 'keeping it up' for the world :) what you call 'confident' for me is 'oblivious', 'confident' people want to charm you, oblivious people, don't give a rat's ass whether you're charmed or disgusted...and it's better this way...you have to interact less on a personal level...Leadership - why god WHY are we expected to 'take control' of the situation? is leadership that important a trait? in a situation where it's required, you NEED some people to be 'led' too...all these management jobs, they want you to be able to motivate people, to be able to lead them, that's just horrible!! i don't want to motivate people, i don't want to lead them, i want to be in a situation where the only person i affect and instruct is myself...people are volatile factors, i hate them anyway...and to have to make them see my view just sucks...every leader is an asshole...patriotism - it is the most bullshit, farce feeling created by man ever. why should i feel proud of the marked out piece of land some men decided to call my 'country'?? and why should i be willing to sacrifice stuff for this piece of land??? people want us to be thankful for the 'freedom' our forefathers fought for...can't you see?? we have had the freedom to speak, and do whatever we want, since the day we were born!! he have a tongue, we have hands...that's all we need...our freedom is only restricted by our 'country' and it's government!! a man should be able to go into the jungle, and just survive, like our REAL forefathers...the tribals did, right now you can't even own a piece of land in the jungle without asking your bloody government...i'll add more if i can think of any...
